AMTSની મનમાની: જાહેર જનતાનો ભોગ

આજ સવારથી જ અમુક AMTS Busના રૂટ્સમાં અચાનક જ ફેરફાર કરી નાખવામાં આવ્યા. આ પેહલા કોઈ પણ પ્રકારનું announcement કરવાની તંત્રે જરૂર ના સમજી. મોટાભાગના મુસાફરો busની રાહ જોઈને કલાકો ઉભા રહ્યા.Circular રૂટની bus 800, 900 & 202 ના રુટ રાતોરાત બદલી નાખ્યા.

AMTS બસ number 800 & 900 ના બદલે 600 & 700 ચાલુ કરવામાં આવી કે જેના રૂટ માં આવતા સ્થળો પર પેહલા થી જ સારી એવી bus ની વ્યવસ્થા હતી. 202 બસ ના બદલે 201 ચાલુ કરવામી આવી. આ બંને બસો ના રૂટ બદલાવાના કારણે શેહરના માનસી circle વિસ્તાર થી રાયપુર, કાલુપુર, જમાલપુર, સિવિલ આવા વિસ્તારોથી કામ માટે updown કરનારા કેટલાય મુસાફરોને હાલાકીનો ભોગ બનવું પડશે.મોટાભાગના મુસાફરો નરોડા, સિવિલ, જમાલપુર,રાયપુર જેવા વિસ્તારોમાંથી ત્યાં નાની મોટી નોકરી કરવા કે ભણવા માટે આવતા. એ લોકો ને હવે ક્યાં તો 2 બસો બદલાવી પડશે ક્યાં  તો રીક્ષા કે BRTSનો ઉપયોઉંગ કરવો પડશે.આનાથી સામાન્ય માણસો ને આર્થિક મુશ્કિલો નો પણ સામનો કરવો પડશે કારણકે મુસાફરીનો ખર્ચો વધવાથી પગાર માં વધારા થવાના નથી.

પેહલાથી જ 800, 900 & 202 નંબર ની બસો સમયસર આવતી નહોતી જેની વારંમવાર ફરિયાદ કરવા છતાં તંત્રે કદી કોઈ પગલા ના લીધા ને હવે અ બસો જ બંધ કરી ઠગારી આશા કે કાલે બસો રેગુલર થશે એ પણ છીનવી લીધી.જયારે બીજી બાજુ નવા ચાલુ કરેલા રૂટ્સ ની બસો 600, 700 & 201 ને 10 - 10 મીનીટે દોડવામાં આવશે. એ પણ એ વિસ્તારો માં જ્યાં પેહલાથી જ સારી ટ્રાન્સપોર્ટ  વ્યવસ્થા હતી.  1 થી વધારે બસો એ  રૂટ પર ફરે જ છે ને શટલ રીક્ષા પણ આસાની થી મળી સકે છે. BRTS તો બોનસ માં છે જ. છતાં એમને નવી બસોથી નવાજવા માં આવ્યા ને જ્યાં પેહલે થી જ સમયસર બસ ના આવવાની સમસ્યા હતી ત્યાં બસો ને સમયસર કરવાને બદલે બંધ જ કરી દીધી.

આ જોતા 1 જ વાત આવે કે જે અમીર છે તે ઔર અમીર થશે ને ગરીબ ઔર ગરીબ.જેની પાસે પેહલેથી જ સગવડ છે એમને વધારે સગવડો આપો. ને જે લોકો તકલીફ માં છે એમની તકલીફો માં વધારો કરો. વાહ રે આઝાદી વાહ! આ કેવી લોકશાહી ? :)

A lady can’t verify. Really?!?!??

It’s a random post based on an experience I had today. If you believe in woman liberation as I do it’s gonna be worth reading.

It was a week off from the office so I was relaxing and landline phone rang. When I answered it from the next hook a lady asked, “Can I talk with Mr. Ashvinibhai Vyas?”
I was like “Whom? Whom do you wanna talk with?”
“Mr. Ashvinibhai Vyas…”
I replied, “There is no Ashvini bhai Vyas here. You have dialed a wrong number”

She said, “I’m talking from the BSNL and it is the same number with that name and it’s a verification call.”
I said, “Then check your form properly lady. It is not Mr. AshviniBhai Vyas. It is Miss AshviniBehan Vyas.”
She didn't apologies as you can expect from the BSNL people. She just accused gender is not defined. Well then I said that “I’m the one, tell me”. She started demanding to talk with my father for the verification. I was saying that “The phone is billed on my name and I am the one then talk to me.” And the lady gave me a lame answer.

She said, “As per the rules a lady cannot verify”.

That sentence just turned me off. I mean the phone is billed on the name of a lady. Why can’t she? The minister of Gujarat is a lady,”Anadiben Patel”. A lady can‘t verify her own phone? Why and how? A lady was asking another lady, “A lady can’t verify the phone. That’s the terms.” I mean come on grow up. I just don’t know was that a real verification call from BSNL or was just a fake phone from some credit card or some plan sellers. But if it was really from BSNL then I would say “GROW UP. You really need to change your thinking.’

I just gave her a short speech on woman liberation and she had hooked it off before I hand over the phone to my father. She mentioned one line that she hasn’t defined the rules. She’s right, but she is the part of the system. She is a lady. And as a lady if you see such things, I think you should at least try to ask for your right. Don’t you? If we all will think like this that it’s a tradition and it’s a rule and it’s not affecting me then how will this orthodox system get change? We have to speak when it’s wrong, don’t we?

What 21st Century Women Really Want?

21st Century Woman

Today, I came across the blog post which had highlighted what a woman really want? Very interesting topic, but very fake result according to me of course. May be I am wrong. May be not. So I though let's draft a post and ask everyone, what do you think?

According to that survey, What women really want? The result is as below:

• Shopping 48%
• Relationship/Marriage (30%)
• Health & Fitness (14%)
• Childcare / Parenting (5%)

That's it. Each time I read or share this result, one reaction comes to my mind. Are you kidding me? I mean is this a result of 21st century women's desire or 12th century women desire? Where is education? Where is career? I mean come on, didn't you find at least 1% of women who desired for better education & bright career. Weird! Absurd! Unbelievable! Impossible! Sounds Fake!

There might be a few women who desire only above listed things, but in the 21st century women has been more career centric. She is much more serious about her education and studies for sure. I have worked with many ambitious girls in the corporate world. Even I have worked as a teacher. From school girl to college teenage females, all were desired to have proper education & career. I have seen girls who literally cry when they don't get a job and receive a marriage proposal. She wants to work. She wants her identity as her priority and you are asking me to believe you didn't find even 1% of girl who desired to have good studies & career.

If I talk about myself, I don't enjoy shopping much unless it is something about accompanying my parents to have some quality time with them. I work for 9-10 hrs approximately. When I am travelling I read books. When I have some free time, I usually blog, read, write educational assignments or attend my distance learning classes. If we consider any other girl she might spend 10-60% time for studies or job at least. Doesn't she?

This is 21st century. Women want to fly in the sky of the opportunities. Even in the antiquity when there were almost no opportunity for a girl there were so many women who made their name. In today's world, girls are taking risk of life to study, remember Yousafzai Malala? Girls are making their name in each and every industry. The priority has been changed from settling down with marriage & having kids, She wants to create her identity first. She loves to be independent. 21st century women independent, focused, ambitious and successful. That's I am. What about you?

Women's Day - The Two Oaths Man Must Take

On this women's day - For a Man who supports the Woman

First of all, Happy Women’s Day. There must be numerous write-ups about women’s rights & liberation. I would like to talk about something which people usually overlook. About those MEN who understand the worth of women. Let’s talk with those positive men on this women’s day J

I know that you know the worth of the women, but do you say so? You admire her, but do you express it in words? Did you wish “Women’s Day’ to women in your life before you left for the office where you wished many other women the same? Um, I think in 90% cases the answer is “No”. I know this is a nuance of a man.  I know you are not as expressive as a woman. You want her to understand the unspoken words of love & care and she does. She does understand you love her, care for her. But don’t you think expression of love & care is an essence of the happy life? Don’t interpret it like she is thirsty for the praise or flattering. Neah, she doesn’t. But don’t you think she deserves to know how much you love &care for her. When the food is a bit more salty or spicy, you won’t forget to comment on it. Then why not to praise her for delicious food she serves daily. Even the best thing could be eat that mistakenly cooked salty food silently by keeping her efforts in mind J

One more thing is I have seen sometimes that a man don’t raise his voice to protect a woman. There are many ugly crimes are happening around us against the woman like domestic violence, rape, eve-teasing & so on. A man has the strength to oppress or protect a woman. If a man is oppressing a woman, you must raise your voice to protect her. I know you care for her, you feel bad then why not to attempt to rescue her? If you are scared to get into some trouble, at least inform the cops if something like that is happening or you think can happen, at least anonymously.

On this woman’s day I want to urge all of you to protect her. Raise voice for her. For me every day is my day. Every day is a women’s day, but today, indirectly, it is a man’s day. Take a silent oath that you will help a lady in need as much as you can. You will use your words to admire her instead of criticize her. Today is the day to express her that she is important. J Just tell her “You made my life” or “You are the one who made my life so beautiful” and feel that glow on her face J

Ahmedabad City Police is OnLine Duty

You might have read these banners in Ahmedabad. I always believe that someone is doing well always appreciate & encourage the one with few words of admiration. This post is to admire the efforts of Ahmedabad City Police. You might have read my previous post of Women Helpline. Ahmedabad Police seems to be conscious & zealous about their duty. The most meritorious thing is they are not helping people, but also trying to spread awareness with advanced technology like social media. They share updates of various information including Helplines, traffic rules, success stories and something which I liked the most was share of traffic rule breaking penalty list. Check the picture below:

Fine for Violation of Traffic Rules

I wish, you all will obey the traffic rules as a good citizen, but in case if you break any of rules, you can pay the fine listed above. Take self responsibility; obey the traffic rule, if you had not please pay the fine as listed above. Do not support corruption please. :)

Apart from these, there is one more helpline number 1098 which is a child helpline number. You may call on 1098 Ahmedabad police helpline when you want to rescue any child around you. For women, Police has launched two new services which I would love to bring to your attention. 1096 number to get help at time of domestic violence. One more initiative of Ahmedabad Police is called 100 reasons to call 100. We all know police helpline number 100, but you might not have information on how it can help specifically a woman. If at night time, a woman is not getting a cab or auto and/or feeling frightened than she can call the number 100 for help. The Ahmedabad police van will pick a woman and drop her to her home or safe place. One more thing to keep in mind is that van will have a lady police. So if she is not there, demand for a lady police. ;) At night, any lady can ask for a lady cop if she needs to go with the police. Prevention is better than cure.

Ahmedabad police also allows people to spend the day with them and share their experiences. I also wish to experience such day, probably :D I hope, you never stuck in any situation where you need to call any helpline number, but you must be aware of such things. If any Ahmedabad police cop is reading this post, I would like to give one suggestion that please, arrange self defense learning classes on weekend for women in Ahmedabad because prevention is always better than cure.

Is Today's Advanced Successful Generation Forgetting Something Important?

Today's generation is smart, intelligent, advanced, technically sound and so on. Adjectives will be finished, but praise for today's advanced generation can't. They are in the running race of success, ambitions, love, lust, fun, enjoyment and what not! They just don't have time for anything. I mean life is so damn busy. Studies, office, work, exams, party, outing, hanging out with friends, pampering boyfriend/girlfriend, etc. They don't have time for their own-selves. So many apps & games are there & we have to be used to with each app. We have to score more than anyone else in the group. We have to be on each & every social media sites. Right?

Most of us are dreaming for someone special who come & take care of us. The own who make us feel special by scolding us when we don't take proper care of ourselves. The one who calls us to know where we are? The one who pamper us, love us and take extra care of us. We are ready to get dominated by them because it's their love. His stupid talks & silly question are so special. We love to teach new things to that one. Don't we dream of it or want to have someone who do all these for us?

Friendship. We have to go at friend's help, no matter it's the middle of the night. We have to hang out with friends and have to attend all functions & event of his/her otherwise they might get upset with us. We have to say sorry thousands of time to coax those buddies. right?

What about those people who are not as technically sound as we are? What about those people who always stand by us even if we never asked for the help? What about those people who love us unconditionally? Do you know about whom I am talking? I am talking about our PARENTS. They always take care of us. Always tried to lead us on the right path, but with advancement of life, most of us has started ignoring them. Even some of us started insulting them by saying "you can't understand. You can't learn it." and may be many such hurting words & sentences. You know better yourself and/or others around you.

However advance you are or whatever you are is just because of your parents. They never thought about themselves. They were also tired when you were kid & asked to play with you. They spend sleepless nights and restless days just for your goodwill. They have sacrificed and compromised their happiness, will, money, dreams and what not. They never expected any reward or praise from you.

Don't you think they deserve your TIME. Yes, we are growing up, but do not forget that they are also growing old. They deserve our time, care, love, affection. It's your turn now. It's time to do those small & special things to do for them which they did for you when you were a kid. Make them feel special because indeed they are so special. Spend time with them. Go for outing with them. Give them surprises. Answer their questions. Teach them the technology.

Believe me, the happiness which you will achieve after spreading a smile on your parents face because of you is priceless. It will make you feel awesome. I mean, I don't have the exact words to express that feeling which you will earn by making your parents happier. Try yourself and experience it on your-own. Believe me it won't take much effort because winning hearts of parents needs little effort, little time and our affection. Be a good child. That will be your actual success when you achieve a smile on your parent's face and pride because of you in their eyes. ;)

Change the system, Don't let system change you

Change will start from you

We experience corruption and ill systems around us directly or indirectly and we keep on moving with an apathetic approach by ignoring it.

We argue, why should I? But why aren't we asking like why not me? why not to obey all the rules? why not to stop corruption from my end? why not to raise the voice if somebody is dishonest? why not to take the side of truth and honesty?

Let me answer this as well. We act as a victim of the corrupt ill system because we are addicted to it. We want short term facilities which can ruin our and others  progress & peace. We are scared to go against the flow because we have started believing in few 21st century sayings which are "Honesty is not the best policy, diplomacy is", "Fake is more considerable/appreciable than facts", "Majority wins".

We, on our own, don't raise voice for truth & honesty, but we start pulling hard the person down knowingly or unknowingly to involve him in our corrupt system by being in the majority. If somebody tries to raise voice against the ill system, we start criticizing him in such a harsh way that person loses his moral and give up the fight of improvement with thinking if you don't want a better system, why should I fight for your betterment? We all are habitual to go with the flow even if we know this is wrong. We might have killed our souls, so we can't hear the voice of the soul when we are doing/supporting the wrong things.

Don't be part or a victim of the ill system. Start change from yourself, discuss with others, support them who are raising their voice for honesty and truth. There is nothing bad to be alone for the truth, but it's bad to kill soul and be in the crowd of wrong ones.

I do believe in fight for the truth and honesty. People usually taunt me "I will be alone", "i won't get anything", "I will lose everything", but I don't worry about it because even if I will lose everything, I will have satisfaction for live up to my principals & Stand for the Truth. I don't know how to "Go with the flow, I go against the flow for the facts". Listen to your soul and be a warrior. To change the system, start changing yourself, your family, friends, home, office, city, state, country and world.

Change will start from  you only.

Is system corrupt or ill? or You?

Don't be Part of corrupt ill system

We blame the system and corruption or we do hear people debating on some rules or political parties or acts. People just keep on blaming others for corruption and ill systems, but do we really have right to blame the system?

I think NO. Why? Have you ever tried to change the system? Have you ever taken any effort to improve the system? Just forget about giving efforts on your own. Have you ever supported or tried to support the one who is trying to improve the system?

We, people are so busy in our life, we can only comment on things going wrong or at max, we can just spit our anger out in front of people who cannot do anything for improvement.

We witness conversations people stating India is backward compared to other countries, but I want to ask have you ever tried to contribute in the progress of your country, state, city, company? Let me give some examples, we use water pouches or eat chocolates or snacks and if we can't find dustbin nearby, we throw it on the road. We see males are sitting on the reserved ladies seat, but we don't say anything with thinking that tomorrow I can get that seat so why to speak up? We don't wear a helmet or forget licence and when we get caught by traffic police, we start crying like I'm poor please let me know take 10-50 Rs/-. We don't take a memo, to save some bucks. We pay few Rs extra to get licence at home or to get a loan without any verification. We waste water or keep light switches on because we might think like everybody is wasting why should I save it? Somebody is dishonest with his/her work or not performing his/her job perfectly, we think like why should I say anything? It doesn't matter to me. If a group of people is beating a single person, we either pass away from there or stay there to see free movie scene, but we never bother to call the police or try do something to rescue that person with thinking why should I get into it as it doesn't matter to me?

There can be so many such things happen in our day to day life. Think about few more and I will discuss more on this in an upcoming blog post.

PoliceHeart Initiative of Ahmedabad Police for Woman Protection

We used to read or watch news of crimes against women like molestation, violence, kidnapping, rape, harassment, etc. We used to wonder and say the city is not so secure for women anymore, but that is not the scenario anymore for woman from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Ahmedabad police has taken an initiative and launched a service called “Heart” or “PoliceHeart” which provides helps to woman and protect them from bad incidents and experiences.

How to Get Registered with Heart?

It is very simple procedure to register yourself for your protection. You can register in two ways.

1. Using online registration form

• Visit http://manage.policeheart.com:8089/Register.php, Give your mobile no, Mobile Operator/Service provider Name [ex. Airtel, Reliance, etc.] and your email id.
• You will get a confirmation code on your given Cell phone
• Verify yourself and submit necessary details like your address, contact details and relationship of your relatives and/or friends so they can also help you in time of crisis.

2. Using Phone

• Type HEART and send an SMS on 9227121091
• You will receive a call for confirmation details
• Give your details and verify yourself

Police Heart

How Heart Works?

If you are registered with “Heart” and you get caught in some trouble then you just need to

• Call 1091. [you can also save this number and assign speed dial number to “1091”]
• Within few minutes, you will get connected with police control room & police operator who will try to talk with you.
• If you are unable to reply back, do not worry, just be connected, they will hear the background sound to figure out the situation
• Police will figure out your location and will send help to you asap.
• Your call will also fetch an SMS alert to the people you have registered as your friends/family member.
• The only thing required is DO NOT DISCONNECT THE PHONE

They will not ask you to go to police station for verification and even not bother you by frequent calls. So there is nothing to worry about. It is the simplest process you have ever witnessed. You can register yourself as well as females you want to get protected. If you are male, you can register your female friends and family.

Heart has rescued many woman within 15 minutes or less time. There are multiple success stories of Heart project so take advantage of it because it is for you.

You might feel or think you are safe and you do not need to get registered to it, but accident can happen anytime, anywhere with anyone. Those who have suffered might thought the same. It is better to be secure and take precaution.
